Six years ago, 3 amazingly brave women of color (Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi) created what we know today as #BlackLivesMatter.

Recently, there has been an outcry of support for this group and their movement – myself included. I can’t think of a better way to show support for the end of systemic racism than by walking to honor the 3 women who had the courage to say: “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! WE MATTER – BLACK LIVES MATTER!” Those women should have been celebrated then, but we can celebrate them now. March with us as we honor these amazing women and continue to express our anger over the senseless murder of people of color at the hands of a broken system. I stand with you. WE stand with you. TOGETHER – WE STAND.

The current plan is a 3-mile walk that would start at Egg Harbor/Hurffville, march down Egg Harbor to Greentree, and then down Greentree – ending at Kohl’s.

I don’t know how much support this will get, hopefully enough to make a statement. It won’t be very impressive if it’s just me and a sign but I’ll do it if I have to.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a PEACEFUL march. All ages, races, genders, religions, species, etc., are welcome. No violence or bullying of any kind will be tolerated.

For those coming, please bring face masks, signs, and your voices!
