PECO still does not have a climate plan!
We are not going away. In fact we are here for the long haul, committed to a just and sustainable energy economy for Philadelphia.
We are fasting and praying to show our commitment and to prepare ourselves to dig into the work even deeper.
We are marching and telling our story to let everyone know, yet again, in a world of fires, floods, racism, and pandemics
PECO still does not have a climate plan!
Power Local Green Jobs (PLGJ) campaign powered by EQAT is committed for the long haul to a just and sustainable energy economy in Philadelphia and beyond!
PECO has given up and is clinging to an old, oppressive energy economy dependent on dirty fossil fuels. Their adoption of a completely inadequate, backwards-looking Default Service Plan (DSP) is just the latest evidence of this reality. The DSP submitted this year, outlining their energy sourcing for the next 4 years, included only 0.5% solar sourcing (the State minimum) and a 0% increase from their current sourcing. This is unacceptable!!
PLGJ calls upon supporters to show collective commitment through a week of private and public fasting culminating in COVID-safe, socially-distanced car caravan and march by foot on the morning of Friday, December 18 along Market Street.
The group will congregate outside the PUC office at 801 Market Street and proceed to the PECO offices at 2301 Market, where we will break our collective fast.
