Concerned Philadelphians Rally at Parkway Corporation to Oppose the Parking Tax Giveaway
Urbanists, Progressives Demand Parkway Corp Pay Their Workers Fair Salaries Out of Massive Profits
On Monday, June 14th at 12:00 PM, groups including 5th Square, Feet First Philly, and others will rally outside of Parkway Corporation’s headquarters to oppose City Council’s proposed parking tax cut that will give parking lot corporations like Parkway and Brandywine $130 million in tax breaks over the next 5 years.
Groups will demand that Parkway and other parking lot operators pay their workers higher wages from their massive profits, not off of revenue meant for public services and schools. City Council is expected to deliberate on the parking tax bill on Monday
